Everyone can expect to see the new media player in the regular version of Windows 11 in a few weeks or months. Windows Media Player 10 was released for Windows XP and is a great all in one player that offered new ways to organize and enjoy all your videos, music, etc. This media player will continue to be updated in the future, and a beta version may be released first. All your content in the music and video folders on your PC will appear automatically in your library, but you can also tell Media Player where to look for additional content in app. With the update, support will be through Media Player. Microsoft stated that there are issues with playing media from a network location, as well as some issues with displaying album metadata. On Windows 10 (and so far on Windows 11), video is supported by a separate Films & TV app. If you try it today, you may find some errors. The company still plans to support Windows Media Player, which has existed since Windows XP, and it can be found under Windows Tools. Just because Microsoft has a new media player in Windows 11 does not mean that traditional players will disappear. You can also record songs on a CD or extract them to include them in a WMP playlist.
